Your Public Speaking Boot Camp was not intimidating. My staff and I loved your sense of humor and your flexibility with our schedules.
Eileen Connolly-Robbins, CEO, Main Line Chamber of Commerce
You pulled together an excellent FISH Training program for our stylists. We now work together as a team as a result of the training. We had and continue to have a lot of fun with the playbook.
Renee Parker, Pizzazz Salon Owner
Thank you for your very professional presentation this evening at our Rotary meeting. As an educator, I am very aware that presenting information effectively is the name of the game. Knowing how to engage your audience is the key to success. You do it well. In a very entertaining fashion, you reminded each of us of how to connect with others in virtually any situation. You do what you promote, and you promote what I would call in the educational world “best practice.”
Carol Robinson, Program Chair, Paoli, Malvern, Berwyn Rotary
Thank you so much for your Memories from the Heart presentation at the last PCADV meeting. It was very, very enjoyable and timely for our group. We so appreciate your taking the time to join us.
Mimsye Katz, Chair, Professional Care Alliance of the Delaware Valley
Your visit was another ray of sunshine in an exceptionally fine class. My students loved your humor, your high spirits, your quirky illustrations of everything one needs to keep the yawns at bay to keep the troops attentive and eager for more. You helped illuminate key principles of public speaking, reaching my young audience where they can hear you best, and you entertained them (and me!) in the bargain. Thanks again for being such a good friend as well as a thorough Communications Pro.
Frank Quattrone, Public Speaking Professor, Penn State, Abington
Thank you very much for presenting yesterday. It is extremely difficult to co-facilitate effectively. In my 30-year career I don’t believe that I’ve witnessed a more effective co-facilitated session. Co-facilitation requires a great deal of trust, chemistry and humility. When it “comes together” it’s like a symphony, when it doesn’t – a disaster.
Steve Horner, Founder and President, Delaware Valley Consulting Group
Barbara really engaged the audience with her Recipes for Love program. She shared some of her own stories behind family recipes. Then the stories from the audience members came pouring forth. She also used spices and tastes of foods to bring back memories of the people in their family and some of the recipes they developed. Everyone left with warm memories, a full tummy and a binder of recipes. We would love to do the program again.
Lisa Seonia, Marketing Director, Spring Mill Presbyterian Village
I really enjoyed the training session. I have attended so many corporate type sessions in the past but felt this was so much more personal and from the heart.
Jody Davies, President, Whitemarsh Business Association
“Barbara was able to give real life video and print examples of how “Mining Your Stories” can lead to positive PR. In speaking before the National Association of Professional Organizers Greater Philadelphia Chapter, she even used examples from our industry to educate and motivate members to tell their stories in the media.”
Carla Shipman, Program Chair
We were disappointed with the turnout but NOT disappointed with the class! John and I both felt the class was the best we’ve had in quite some time and felt that so many people could have benefited from it!
Amy M. Carlotto Zuckett, M.Ed, Education Director, Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania
I just wanted to thank you again for letting me know about the NAWBO event this morning. It was extremely informative and it was great meeting so many nice and interesting people. I’m keeping your ‘Get Out of Jail for Free’ card on my desk! As I start to draft these newsletters and press releases, I have a feeling I may be using it sooner than later.
“I have attended several of Communications Pro Seminars and Training, including Networking for Success and Public Speaking Boot Camp. The material presented during these courses is invaluable. Since Public Speaking Boot camp, I have spoken at a variety of conferences nationally and internationally. Each time I prepare a lecture, I actively apply the advice of Communications Pro and the results are always positive. The classes are creative and fun, while providing essential skills for success.”
“A lot of people talk but fewer walk the walk. I’ve watched Barb facilitate numerous meetings of ASTD and she always demonstrates the expertise required by her consulting business. She has been consistently enthusiastic and supportive of others. In other words, a pleasure to work with and to get to know.”
Brenda Grove, Director, College Outreach & On-site Programs, Villanova University
“I attended a seminar that Barb presented and was impressed with her knowledge of marketing and communications and with her recommendations for start-up companies as well as those who just need a boost in their visibility.”
